The BPI Healthy Home Evaluator (HHE) Certification Exam validates the knowledge and skills needed to assess residential environments for potential health and safety concerns. Healthy Home Evaluators identify conditions that may impact occupant well-being and provide recommendations to improve indoor environmental quality, comfort, durability, and overall health outcomes.
The exam covers topics including indoor air quality (IAQ), moisture management, ventilation, combustion safety, allergens, asthma triggers, mold and microbial growth, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon monoxide, radon awareness, building science fundamentals, and healthy housing principles.

Testing Options
The BPI Healthy Home Evaluator Certification Exam may be completed either remotely or in person.
For remote testing, candidates must have:

- A computer with audio and video capabilities
- A quiet testing environment that meets proctoring requirements
For in-person testing, the examination will be administered at an approved testing location under the supervision of a proctor.
